Questions for mid-January

Great questions. All.
No, don't buy an American car. They don't have the latest safety features and have lousy mileage. And the ones that do have decent safety features and decent mileage are in fact not made in the USA, nothwithstanding the logo on the grill. Also, there is no reason to reward companies that have been lobbying for all the wrong policies for decades.
PS: why are you thinking about a new car? Is the Interpid on its last legs?
After The Wire, everything sucks.
MK: The Intrepid, I am happy to say, is doing fine. Great, in fact. It's about 150 miles short of 100K: I should be turning all those 9's to 0's sometime in the next week or so. I think it's the great experience I've had with the Intrepid that's made me consider buying American.
But when it is time to give up on the Intrepid -- and that will be a sad day -- we'll probably end up getting a Toyota or a Honda. I'm not a huge fan of American cars, but I do feel that, as an American, maybe I should think about buying American cars? Even if they sort of suck? I mean, if we don't who else will?
But maybe you're right, and we shouldn't reward Detroit. It's just that I feel bad that America has lost this industry. Maybe that's stupid.
